The border line between Pakistan and Afghanistan which is known as ,,Durand line,, has been controversial since last hundred years. The British government had established the border with the name of Durand between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Our purpose and topic is not to discuss the historical and controversial nature of Durand line but to discuss the peculiar life style and states grouping of the people near border area. The people on the Afghanistan side of the border are the common and general citizens of Afghanistan but the people living on the side of Pakistan are as having been living between the two countries are still leading a life without statehood. The people of FATA are living a mountainous life but not a wild life. But wild life has been imposed on them. The population of FATA according to the 2017 census is fifty five lakh 5.5 million and inspite of having constitutional part of Pakistan are not considered the citizens of Pakistan. FATA has it representatives in parliament but they are only in the name of representatives of the people because they cannot take part in legislation. They have no access to the judiciary of Pakistan. The sphere of high court and supreme court is not extended to FATA. The people of FATA are called tribal because they are consisted of different tribes. The people of FATA divided into seven zones which are called agencies and they are under the influence of central or federal government , therefore are called FATA (Federal Administered Tribal Area). There are seven areas in administratively which are Bajure, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurum , South Waziristan and North Waziristan. Every agency has its own administrative structure. The people of FATA fought against Mughals in the leadership of Aimal khan and Darya khan. They fought against the British Government till 1947. They fought against India to liberate Kashmir from their domination. They fought against Russia in 1980-81 when Russia raided Afghanistan. The people of FATA were used by America during Afghan war. America provided them with training and weapons. They were engaged against Russia and Afghanistan for many years. On the other hand they are so coward people that they have been bearing the draconian laws of FCR since last seventy years and are still under FCR. They played the role of front line against Russia and have been bearing the harshness of terrorism since last fifteen years they earned bad name and are bearing different kinds of difficulties due to terrorism. Life has become hell for them because of terrorism Education, Health and economy has destroyed. Hundreds of government schools has been blasted especially girls schools. Dozens of elders and malakan have been targeted and were shoot dead. Millions of people migrated to other parts of the country. Health centre are negligible and patients have to travel hundreds kilometer. While the situation of roads very poor. They have deprived of basic human rights. No government have given attention to solve their problems. The youngsters of FATA are facing the evils of unemployment and financial difficulties. Due to these problems they are being easily persuaded towards terrorism. They have no deficiency of talent but no one gave head to their problems. Pak-Afghan border Durand line is usually considered as safe haven of terrorism. There are several historical trade routes for the people of both countries in which are included Torkham, Angor ada, Kharlachi, Ghulam khan, Speen boldak and Nawa pass. These routes are playing the role of soul for the people of both countries because the tribal of both side of border use these routes for trade and other purpose and all the economic activities were depended on these routes but due to the present terrorism these routes are often closed and the people have great difficulties.

Pakistan government has started fencing the border which will help control terrorism between the two countries but govt, of Afghanistan is opposed to this act of Pakistan. Afghanistan does not recognize and admit this border whatever may be the affairs between the two countries but the difficulties have to be borne by these tribal because these people are already in the grip of FCR. FCR is such kind of law where in spite of having a democratic system in the country the people of FATA have to live under the system of a totalitarian system of govt. Every agency has a powerful administrator whose every word and act is considered a law. No one can dare to audit his expenditure and he is not responsible to any. No one can rise his point in connection with basic human rights. Mohmand agency have been deprived of mobile network service since last six months without any specific reason , although the law and order situation is worse in Balochistan and Karachi than in Mohmand agency. Bike is an important source of communication and traveling but it has also been bane. The poor and unemployed youngsters of the agency have become psychological patients. They have given rewards for fighting against Russia ,India and British on one hand while they have been made responsible for present wave of terrorism on the other hand.

The solution of all problems and deprivation of the unfortunate residents of the Durand line lies in the merging of tribal in mainstream of Pakistan. So that they become responsible and successful citizens of the country but till date all the attempts which were made to change the life of the tribal were halted one way  or the other way. Now some political parties, youngsters, advocates, and media personals have come to the same page for the abolition of FCR and to merge FATA in KPK province so that they can be recognized as Pakistanis It can alone abolish and removes illiteracy, unemployment, deprivation and terrorism from FATA.
